etv was appointed by media agency Mediaedge:cia to work with its client Activision on the launch of its latest game release DJ Hero. Activision Publishing Inc is a leading worldwide developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and leisure products. The brief was to produce four 3 minute videos that told the story of one young lucky DJ and his trip of a lifetime to Ibiza to cover the launch of Activision's DJ Hero. DJ Twiggy was selected to report on the press launch and interview the developers of the game. The new game was unveiled and tested for the first time at the closing party of legendary nightclub hotspot, Pacha. Twiggy’s coverage included interviews with the DJ Hero ambassador David Guetta. etv was briefed to edit the four films and upload them onto the DJ Hero MySpace website within  hours of the event. etv then translated and subtitled the videos into French, German, Italian and Spanish for syndication on the relevant websites.

An on-location crew of cameramen, producers and editors was sent to the Balearic Islands to cover the two day shoot, incorporating Ibiza by day and by night. Using multiple crews, etv was able to capture the complex schedule of events as it unfolded in this 48 hour launch extravaganza. Rushes were fed back to our edit team on-site who successfully cut all of the films and uploaded them to the DJ Hero MySpace website in less than 24 hours after the event.

Working to a tight delivery schedule, etv was able to upload all of the foreign language translations and subtitled footage to the relevant MySpace sites a week after the event.
