The etv media group was commissioned by ITV to create Glitterball, an entertaining and vibrant new programme which aired late nights on ITV1 and ITV2. Having achieved phenomenal success with The Mint, we worked closely with ITV's commissioner to create a strong new consumer proposition.
Launched on the 19th February 2007, Glitterball broadcast four hours a night, four nights a week. etv brought a totally new approach to entertainment within a participation framework:
Key to our approach was to involve viewers more, to really build on the sense of community and fun and to introduce a strong new streak of competitiveness into the whole show.
